Skin Care and Spa Institute provides a comprehensive 750-hour program to prepare our students for a rewarding career in the field of Esthetics.  Our classes provide thorough understanding of skin care and skin care related disciplines to help our students develop the skills necessary to become successful in the field of esthetics.  Skin Care and Spa Institute is approved by the Department of Professional and Financial Regulation of the State of Illinois and we are members of Massage and Bodywork Association (ABMP).

During the course of our program, students participate in a Student Clinic where they provide skin care services to the public under the supervision of our experienced instructors.  Students can also chose to participate in our externship program, thus, getting the opportunity to intern at various skin care establishments, in order to obtain “real world” experience prior to entering the filed.

Why become an Esthetician?

The profession of esthetics is one of the fastest growing professions in the United States today.  Being an esthetician involves helping others look and feel good about themselves, increase their self-esteem and self-confidence. This is a very rewarding profession and the career is exciting, fulfilling as well as demanding due to the numerous and diverse services that may be provided throughout the day. 

People of all ages and sexes are seeking professional treatments for their skin and body, particularly the growing number of ageing baby boomers who are looking for services to look and feel good for as long as possible.

Licensed estheticians are employed by salons, spas, dermatologist’s offices, and plastic surgery offices, med-spas, and by a variety of skin care companies.  Many estheticians chose to open their own businesses. There are numerous employment opportunities for licensed estheticians and the possibilities are endless!
